Denver Emergency Department HIV Research Consortium

The Denver Emergency Department HIV Testing Consortium was created in 2004 in an effort to bring together an interdisciplinary group of individuals with complementary expertise in HIV prevention with a specific focus on emergency department-based HIV testing.

The group consists of individuals from several institutions in Denver, including Denver Health Medical Center, Denver Public Health, the University of Colorado, Children’s Hospital, and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.

We conduct primarily clinical and health services research to identify the most effective and efficient approaches for diagnosing HIV infection in the emergency department.   Our work strives to combine scientific rigor with program evaluation in order to best inform processes of emergency medical care nationally.

Please take a look around and don’t hesitate to let us know what you think.

We hope you enjoy!
